Loughborough University wanted AS and A2-level students to consider taking an engineering degree. To capture their imagination the university came up with the idea of a handy formula crib sheet. The Z-CARD® was a natural fit.
Students loved the card and 70% of teachers said that the Z-CARD® 'improved their students' understanding of maths'. UCAS reported that applications to Loughborough University's engineering degrees increased by 20% against a national drop.
After consulting with Loughborough we supplied a QR package which included the QR Code and bespoke reporting. The 2011 mathscard® is a continued success, with over 125,000 App downloads and 3,500 scans of the QR code to date.
